President Obama would have us believe the War on Terror (WOT) is over and that America won. Nothing could be further from the truth. The WOT is admittedly an unconventional war, as there wasn’t any formal declaration, but we have been engaged in it since 9-11, making it 13 years old and the longest war in our history. And the ugly truth is, we will not be getting out of it any time soon.
The WOT is obviously not a typical war in the sense of battle lines, tactical military strategy, and sophisticated equipment. Instead, it is a terrorist campaign where we play defense while our opponents play offense. More importantly, it is necessary to acknowledge we are engaged in a religious war with the Muslims. The fact we are Americans is less important than we are perceived as infidels, the non-believers, and the perceived enemies of Islam. This means it will never end as long as there are Muslim fanatics.
Some will say, “What about the good Muslims, those who do not believe in Jihad?” Those who do not condemn the terrorist actions are encouraging the terrorists through their inaction. It would be an interesting experiment to ask Muslims in enclaves like Dearborn, Michigan to sign a petition condemning Muslim terrorism.
Let us also consider how Muslims have immigrated, some would say infiltrated, not just the United States, but the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, where they have become vocal about changing local laws to adapt to Sharia Law. This has become of great concern to those of us who are happy with our existing laws. Slowly though, Muslims are joining local governments to exert such influence. It has also been said there are Muslims in the Federal Government as well, including the White House. This has become rather unnerving to citizens.
Muslim extremists will not be happy until the western world has capitulated to Islam, regardless how long it might take. This means the WOT will continue unabated and a flash point is inevitable, such as targeting another American icon (e.g., Statue of Liberty, Hoover Dam, Mount Rushmore, etc.) or perhaps something more diabolical such as destroying our electrical grid, capturing or killing our government, or igniting a nuclear device on our shores. Whatever it is, we will again find ourselves having to make some hard decisions as to how to respond.
Should this happen, do not be surprised if Muslims in this country are rounded up and interred in camps as we did with the Japanese-Americans in World War II or perhaps deported to the Middle East. The anger by the American people after such a cataclysmic event will be such that all Muslims will live in fear of our response.
The WOT will not stop until the Muslim extremists either call for a cessation of violence or they are eradicated completely. That is the harsh reality we must all live with.

Kevin – In tonight’s speech, the President it is unlikely he will refer to the “War on Terror”, nor will he use the word “Muslim.” If he does, he’ll say something like “There are more good Muslims than bad.”

“Another good article, Tim. I just don’t get why the American people don’t see what is happening. There are so many YouTube things to prove what is happening not only in our country but throughout the world. They just don’t want to believe that anyone could ever take over America. And, you are right, the Muslims will take as long as necessary and thus need to be stopped now. The 2 links below give you a good idea what’s going on in England and Belgium. You might have seen them but if not well worth watching because this will happen to America if the American people don’t wake up. And Dearborn is just the beginning. One city at a time. The 1st video has some pretty harsh language, but does show how the hate for these extremists is building in England and possibly will lead to a civil war there. All the best, Walt

Over time, and especially in the post-Vietnam era, we have become a nation bent on passive resistance–whatever that may concept may be. We actually believe that we can choose between war and peace when faced with an enemy who desires nothing less than war. That passive tendency is prevading every avenue of our culture leading us to sit on our hands as these extremist make in-roads into our infrastructure and gain the “legal right” to change something under the system that “we created”. The mistake on their part is to believe that they can dominate our culture with theirs and still reap the spoils of our economic model–you can’t have it both ways. If we took a vote tomorrow nationwide asking whether the “Baptists” should be allowed to run everything, people across the country would be up at arms. Conversly, as a function of political correctness, they remain silent on Islam. Once again a “label” or the threat of it shuts people up at a time when they should be speaking out. We can complain all we want about the “Good Muslims” who sit back and say nothing of the extremist but we, as a people, are about as guilty of the same thing for different reasons. ~ WB

Hiroshima and Nagasaki are very good examples of how to end an ugly war and get the good people in the area struck on a new life… show people we care for good people and not for the evil that is all around us today. Without Tehran, Baghdad, etc. their bases and leaders are gone… good riddance!

Regarding the President’s speech last night (Sept 10, 2014)…
One of the most naive comments ever uttered by a US President is,”ISIL is not ‘Islamic.'” This is destined to become a rallying cry for the Muslim extremists. You’ll notice the president was careful not to say “War on Terror” and minimized the use of the word “Muslim.” The president obviously doesn’t want to recognize we are embroiled in a religious war, even though we didn’t ask for it. It’s not a matter of ISIS versus America, it’s about Islam versus the Infidels. Air strikes, intelligence reports, equipment and supplies, training and advisers are nice, but it will require land forces to conquer this beast. The president doesn’t want to commit American troops. Fine. Who does he think will step up to the plate? The surrounding Arab states? NATO? Hardly. Whether we like it or not, it will require American soldiers.

“Two scenarios in two different time frames: both men are 25yrs. old. One is sitting down and publicly smoking coke and he is wearing a white straw Cuban hat. Another is in his paratrooper leathers ready to make the jump to rescue the hostages who were held in the Carter years for over 400 days. The first man has had a cocaine conviction already. The first man is Barack Obama. The second man is Benjamin Netanyahu ready for the Raid on Entiebbi. So, it would be safe to say that OBAMA SMOKES DOPE, NETANAHU SMOKES TERRORISTS!”

Recall M*A*S*H episode where we hear: Rule #1: people get killed in war. Rule #2- Doctor’s can’t change Rule #1.
War is, and never has been, pretty or clean. Innocent bystanders get killed and maimed all the time. War planners accept civilian casualties as a natural outcome of battle, for whatever reason(s).
The extremists will not change their ways – they might SAY they will, but they will simply go covert and bide their time. The ONLY viable solution is eradication, but that will be problematic – sort of like cancer – if you let ONE cancer cell survive chemo, eventually, it will come back. And, these extremists are all over the world – not JUST ISIL…and there are variations on their theme – with different names that haven’t come to the radar screen yet.”

To quote Sun Tzu. “If you know your enemy and know yourself you will prevail in a hundred battles. If you know one and not the other for every one you win you will lose one. If you know neither your enemy or yourself you will not prevail in a hundred battles.” We’ve been at this for a few decades and I fear our esteemed leaders have even figured out who the enemy is as yet. We’re just lucky that they are a few generations behind us in weaponry.
